Burial and Cremation

If you elect for us to help with cremation for your pet, we will make arrangements ahead of time for you at Trusted Journey cremation services. The doctor and her assistant will respectfully provide transport of your pet at the end of your appointment. When scheduling, you can choose either an individual or a communal cremation.

With Individual cremation your pet is cremated in an individual compartment and you will receive only their remains returned to you in the urn you choose below. The cost of the urn is included. The cost of mailing to you is also included.

*With individual cremations you also have the option to choose a clay paw print of your pet, which you will receive with your urn. This is only available with individual cremations. However, if you are choosing communal cremation or making your own arrangements you can still make your own clay pawprint.

With Communal cremation your pet is cremated together with other pets. The communal remains are buried at Partridge Pet Cemetery, located at 2405 Paragon Road, Tipton Michigan. The cemetery is open to the public year- round for visitation.

*We are not able to assist with cremation for pets weighing over 110 pounds.

Pet Urns

You can choose to make your own aftercare arrangements instead. For pets weighing over 110 pounds this is required. Some of these options include transporting your pet to the crematory of your choice, transporting your pet for aquamation, requesting the crematorium transport your pet, and home burial.

    * Some examples of pet crematoriums in our area include Paws Upon the Heart, Evercare Pet Cremation, Faithful Companion Pet Crematorium, and Nature’s way Aquamation . You can contact any of these companies directly to make arrangements, including transport of your pet.

*Home burial is a nice option if you are able to do this. There are regulations for home burial that vary depending upon your location. Be sure to check your local regulations. People often ask us how deep their pet should be buried. There should be a very minimum of 2 feet of ground above a buried animal.
